Joyful worship and liturgy are central to the life of this parish. Our identity as a parish is forged through liturgy and the many different ministries to which parishioners are called are celebrated in our worship together in a broad range of services throughout the year. Sunday services provide ample opportunity for members of the congregation to participate as Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs), acolytes, lectors or ushers.

Congregational participation in music is a hallmark of worship at Grace Church. We use the 1982 Hymnal, Lift Every Voice and Sing II, and occasionally Wonder, Love and Praise. Gospel Eucharists are a highlight of our worship services several times during the year.
Each week from Labor to Pentecost, the senior choir presents an anthem based on the liturgy of the day and leads the congregation in hymns and liturgical music. The choir is open to all who like to sing and can rehearse for the 10 a.m. service. A children's choir and handbell choir also participate in services from time to time. Approximately 60 acolytes from age eight through adult share in nearly all liturgical celebrations. |
An Altar Guild supports worship by cleaning, repairing, and arranging the vestments, altar cloths and vessels, and arranging the flowers which enhance the altar. The work of all the groups that contribute to worship at Grace Church is coordinated by the Liturgical Commission. It plans both the details and the broader themes of liturgies to reflect the seasons of the year and the richness of our liturgical heritage. |
