Welcome to Grace
We are delighted that you are visiting or have chosen to worship with us. Grace Church is much more than our building on the Common of Amherst. We are an assembly of people who seek to live into the abundant life that God calls us to in Christ. Irenaeus, an early Christian saint of the second century, said that the “glory of God is a human being fully alive.” This is what we seek here at Grace, to experience life in all its richness and complexity, to be fully human and fully alive as God creates us to be in the One who has conquered sin and death, Jesus Christ.
I hope that in worshipping here you experience a sense of the holiness of God in the midst of this varied gathering of people, young and old, devout and questioning, learned and unschooled. I have found serving this remarkable congregation to be an enlivening and deeply gratifying experience.
If you have any questions, or if you are interested in baptism, confirmation or membership, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. May God bless you on your journey in the Spirit.
Faithfully yours in Christ,
The Rev. A. Robert Hirschfeld
Rector
