
The Hospitality Committee
What is the Hospitality Committee?
The Hospitality Committee, formed in May 2004, is a
working group under the
Parish Life Commission. The
Committee endeavors to welcome, inform and
incorporate new arrivals to Grace Church, and to provide
hospitality to all who
worship at Grace. The activities are
broad and varied and include:
- Scheduling ushers
- Overseeing coffee hour
- Monitoring Blue Pew Pamphlets
- Creating, compiling and sending out welcoming packets and materials
- Planning and directing Newcomers Events
- Conducting follow-up e-mails to Newcomers
We encourage parishioners to welcome newcomers and to invite them to fill out a blue card, which can be found
in the pews. After completing a blue card (which includes name and contact information), newcomers may give
the card to an usher, place it in the Offertory plate, or put it in the Parish Administrator's mailbox. By completing
a blue card, a newcomer is added to the Grace Notes mailing list and will be informed of upcoming events and programs at Grace Church.
