Rev. Rob Hirschfeld
On Sunday September 2, 2001, we welcomed the Reverend
A. Robert Hirschfeld as our new Rector. Rob was installed as the
Rector of Grace Church at the Celebration of New Ministry to take place
on St. Luke's Day, Thursday October 18th at 7 p.m., the Rt. Rev. Gordon
Scruton, Bishop of the Diocese of Western Massachusetts, presided.
Rob joins us after serving at St. Mark's Chapel at the University of Connecticut
in Storrs where he was for eight years. Previous to that he served as
the Assistant Rector at Christ Church, New Haven, his first clerical position
after graduating from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale in 1991.
He had also attended the General Theological Seminary in New York City
and has served as the Pastoral Assistant at the American Cathedral in
Paris, France. He is married to Polly M. Ingraham with whom he has three
children. On the Feast of the Confession of St. Peter, January 18th,
2002, he celebrated the tenth anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.
