Grace Garden Tour with Lunch – Success! A big thank you to all who participated in the Grace Garden Tour with Lunch on Saturday, June 10. It was a spectacularly fun day and a splendid event. We don’t have a final number yet in terms of the dollars raised, but this event contributed to the Mind the Gap Campaign and was a wonderful success. This is all because of you. Stay tuned for more great Mind the Gap events. In the meantime, won’t you please help Mind the Gap with a contribution? Please make checks payable to “Grace Church” and write “Mind the Gap” on the memo line. You may also give via the church website by clicking the “Give” button and then selecting “Mind the Gap” in the “To” drop down box.

June 25th is the 4th Sunday of the month and the recipient of the Outreach Offering will be the United States Association for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for their efforts in Sudan. Thousands of children, women and men have been forced to flee escalating violence in Sudan. Vulnerable families have lost access to vital lifesaving supplies and are in dire need of protection, shelter, food and water. The UNHCR is on the ground providing lifesaving aid including food, medicine and clean water. Your generous offering can make an immediate impact on the lives of these refugees. Please consider a generous gift. If you write a check please make it payable to Grace Church and add “outreach” on the memo line. Thank you for any gift you are able to give.
Haiti School Uniform Campaign to Launch Since 2008 when the Haiti Ministry was first established at Grace, we have helped approximately 1,500 students go through the doors at the St. Matthew’s School and receive an education. With the generous support of Grace parishioners, we originally established the school for grades 1 – 6. With your continued support we have built a library, filled the library shelves, added a 7th grade, and have financed a computer lab. This is a huge accomplishment in a country that faces dire challenges and where education is at a premium. This year we will be supporting 237 students. A donation of $75 will cover the cost of one child’s uniform, textbooks, and other basic school supplies. But a donation in any amount matters and is deeply appreciated. Our campaign goal is $17,775. We hope to raise this by September 10. Won’t you please help? Please make checks payable to “Grace Church” and write “Haiti School Uniforms” on the memo line. You may also give via the church website by clicking the “Give” button and then selecting “Haiti Ministry” in the “To” drop down box.
