The ClimateAction@Grace Committee has set up a poster of a tree in the back of the church near the bell tower. Please add leaves to the tree to show things you are doing now to help care for creation. We hope to have the tree full of leaves by Earth Day (April 22)!

The Grace Church Stewardship campaign for 2024  To date 152 pledges have come in totaling $497,326. If you need a pledge card, they are available as you enter the church or you can contact the office (413) 256-6754 or Bruce Stebbins at (413) 530-3805.

Haiti Ministry: Imagine If your child had only one set of clothes for school, including recess. Think of the wear and tear! Please help us outfit 241 students at St. Matthieu in Bayonnais. As of last week, we had enough for 9 students – many thanks to the donors! $75 provides a uniform and supplies for one child. To donate, see us at coffee hour, or give by check or through the church website. For details, see GraceinHaiti.org

Greening Grace What can we do as individuals to reduce our carbon footprint? We’ll be posting two ideas a week for the summer. Here are a few ideas from Greening Grace.      Lucy Robinson

  • Fly nonstop when you fly, if you can arrange it.
  • Recycle glass, paper and cardboard.

Fourth Sunday Collection, June 23  The June recipient will be Episcopal Relief and Development’s Ukraine Crisis Response Fund. Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD) is working together with its partners to serve refugees impacted by the war in Ukraine, providing support both within Ukraine and throughout Europe. Since the onset of the war in 2022, millions of war refugees have entered Europe and have overwhelmed the support systems, which has made successful integration even more difficult for all refugees. ERD helps immigrants to integrate into their new lives throughout Europe by offering language classes, legal and work assistance, and helping with food and basic needs. Within Ukraine, ERD is working to help people who have fled the violence with shelter, food, water and counseling services. If you write a check, please make it payable to Grace Church and add “outreach” on the memo line. Thank you for any gift you are able to give.

Joy of Living Group, 7:00-8:30 p.m., 2nd and 4th Mondays  This group combines meditation, practices integrated in the flow of life, and discussion. Next meeting, in the Connector: June 24, 2024

Please remember that items should be in good condition and clean. We accept many kinds of items, but please no textbooks, binders, VCR tapes, cassettes, clothing, or mildewed items.
