Daylight Savings Reminder! The clocks need to be moved forward one hour this weekend!
Come nourish your Lenten observance with Sunday morning Bible study. Join the Rector and others to study, and react to, the Gospel and Old Testament lesson for the following Sunday. We meet, usually in the Parish Hall, Sunday mornings at 9:20.
Sunday March 8 following the 10:30 service in the Parish Hall – John Lent, Executive Director of the American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem (AFEDJ), will give a presentation about their work in the Holy Land. Refreshments will be served. The AFEDJ supports 25 schools, hospitals, centers for children with disabilities and our mission in Ramallah: the Episcopal Technological and Vocational Training Center (ETVTC). The ETVTC trains Palestinian high school students to work in two areas where they can usually find jobs; i.e., hospitality (working in hotels and restaurants) and IT (installing, repairing and programming computers). We provide a scholarship each semester for a student through the sale of Palestinian olive oil on the first Sunday of each month. Our current student is Bisan Freij in the hospitality stream, which she is enjoying as she loves to cook.

Tasks will include helping go through prisoners’ requests, matching them with books, and packaging book for mailing. Please email Megan for more information.

Sustain Earth by Installing a An Electic Heat Pump or Tankless Water Heater – If it’s time to replace your water heater, consider switching to an electric heat pump water heater. However, if that isn’t an option, please consider a tankless water heater. Tankless water heaters are small units that provide hot water only when it’s needed, as opposed to keeping a whole tank heated all the time. They do this by using a high heat source to heat water as it comes through the water heater. They can save up to 30% energy over conventional tank heaters. Learn more at sustainislandhome.org.
